Bhut Jolokia is a chili pepper grown in Assam, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. In 2006, it was confirmed by Guinness World Records to be the hottest chili in the world. It is also known as Naga Jolokia, Ghost Chili, Ghost Pepper, Naga Morich or Bih Jolokia. Ripe Bhut Jolokia chili peppers measure 60 mm to 85 mm long , with an orange or red color. Growing instructions Sow seeds late winter to early spring indoors. The seed usually germinates in 3 - 4 weeks at 20 °C (68 °F). Pot up the seedlings into individual pots in rich well drained soil. If trying them outdoors, then plant them out after the last expected frosts. Chile Peppers are best grown as a perennial pot plant!
