Crow Garlic is a wild plant which is also known as wild garlic and which shows one speciality: It can also be harvested in winter! The plant reaches over 50cm in height. Its stalks are dark green and firmer than the stalks of well-known chives. As a home remedy, the juice of crow garlic supposedly acts antiasthmatic and blood-purifying and it was traditionally used as a moth and mosquiito repellent. Raw and boiled stalks can be used like garlic in the kitchen. The small bulbs, which have an even stronger flavour, can also be consumed.
