Description

Tagetes lucida, also known as Mexican Marigold or Yauhtli, is native to Mexico and Central America. It is an essential ingredient in the preparation of an original Aztec cocoa drink. It has a distinct aroma similar to that of woodruff, and is a
delicious herb for cooking or infusions.

Growing instructions
Perennial, non winter-hardy shrub. Can be grown outdoors, where it thrives much better than indoors, as an annual plant. Loves loose soils and bright places. Indoor overwintering is possible if grown as a container plant. Sowing: preculture recommended. The seeds needs light to germinate, so scatter them on the seed compost and slightly press them into the soil.

Schnell gekeimt!

Habe die Samen auf der Fensterbank in Anzuchttöpfchen gestreut und leicht in die Erde gedrückt, sie sind übers Wochenende gekeimt und gedeihen gut! Ein paar habe ich probehalber mit ein wenig Erde bedeckt, die sind einige Tage später auch gekeimt.
