Description

Black paeony is a variety of the so-called paeoniflorum type. These varieties, often called peony poppy, have been grown as ornamental plants for centuries because of their beautiful double-flowered blossoms. They are one of the characteristic
plants in traditional cottage gardens. The black dark flowers are reminiscent of peonies.
Seed, content: 1000 black peony poppy seeds
Cultivation and sowing:
Black paeony opium poppy is sown from March to April directly in the garden or field. Sow the seeds broadcast and only lightly cover with soil. Poppy does not like to be transplanted and rarely survives this procedure. Likes loose garden soils and grows particularly strong with good nitrogen supply. It is also possible to sow poppies in autumn - the plants overwinter and bloom then next year
