Description

There is nothing more uplifting than a garden filled with vibrant and colourful flowers growing in every corner. Many of the popular summer flowers are annuals or biennials, often spreading their own seeds, growing again year after year
automatically.
Lots of the summer flowers are melliferous flowers and attract butterflies, bees, bumble bees and lots of useful insects, filling your garden with life.
For this seed kit we hand selected 5 colourful annual summer flower varieties:
  • Meadow sage (Salvia pratensis)
Meadow sage is a lovely mild herb ideal for fish dishes. Its beautiful purple-blue flowers are edible and attract lots of bees and useful insects with their nectar.
  • Lawn daisy/ common daisy/ English daisy/ bruisewort (Bellis perennis)
The delicate flower heads of lawn daisies surprise with a slightly bitter yet savoury flavour and therefore make a tasty and beautiful garnish for salads. Pickled lawn daisy buds work also very well as a substitute for capers.
  • Californian poppy/ golden poppy/ California sunlight/ cup of gold (Eschscholzia californica)
The beautiful Californian poppy produces its delicate, bright glowing, orange flowers all through the entire gardening season.
  • Common sunflower (Helianthus annuus)
The impressively large and cheery flower heads of sunflowers attract bees and other useful insects till autumn and they are also popular with birds that love to feed off their delicious sunflower seeds.
  • Corn poppy (Papaver rhoeas)
This beautiful poppy variety is a true eye catcher, with luminous, deep-red, delicate flowers.
The seeds of each variety are packaged in a separate sachet.
