This basil with "medium-sized" leaves combines good aroma with strong vegetative growth, now available as organic seed.

Package with 750 seeds for medium-sized basil

Growing instructions

Cultivation from mid-April in pots, or from mid-May to June directly outdoors. Starting basil seeds is very easy. The plant requires above all a lot of light and a lot of heat, but can not tolerate wind. It is best planted in pots in a sheltered place. Often there are problems with seedlings falling over. To prevent this, the soil should not be too wet.
To keep basil plants from flowering and thus obtain the longest possible harvesting period, all the shoot tips should be harvested. This promotes a bushy growth.
In mild areas basil can be overwintered in the garden, although usually the plant is kept annual.
