Honeybee Meadow - Seed kit

some of the plants that feed bees and bumblebees and create a lovely bee meadow. br/> There are many flower varieties and herbal plants adored by bees, which would also spread a lovely scent in the garden and look beautiful at the same time.

For this seed kit we hand selected 5 flowering plants whose nectar attracts and feeds bees:

• Indian mint (Monarda citriodora)
  It originates from North America & is a beautiful plant with purple-red flowers that compliments various different dishes.
• White catnip (Nepeta cataria ssp. citriodora)
  A local shrub and very easy to grow. It has a unique lemon aroma and lends itself well for tea infusions.
• Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)
  Motherwort is an old local medicinal plant used as a heart tonic.
• Borage (Borago officinalis)
  Fresh chopped borage leaves lend a beautiful flavour to any cucumber salad, homemade dip or crème cheese spread and they also form one of the essential ingredients needed for preparing 'Frankfurter Grüne Sauce', the famous green sauce from Frankfurt. Its small, star-shaped blue flowers are also delicious added to salads, puddings and wild herb soups.
• Meadow sage (Salvia pratensis)
  Meadow sage is a lovely mild herb ideal for fish dishes and its beautiful flowers are also edible.

All our plant varieties help to improve biodiversity and are considered good nectar, pollen and feed plants for useful insects such as bees, bumble bees, butterflies and so on.
