- Indian mint (Monarda citriodora)
Indian mint originates from North America. It is a beautiful plant with purple-red flowers and compliments various different dishes. - White catnip (Nepeta cataria ssp. citriodora)
White catnip is a local shrub and very easy to grow. It has a unique lemon aroma and lends itself well for tea infusions. - Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)
Motherwort is an old local medicinal plant used as a heart tonic. - Borage (Borago officinalis)
Fresh chopped borage leaves lend a beautiful flavour to any cucumber salad, homemade dip or crème cheese spread and they also form one of the essential ingredients needed for preparing 'Frankfurter Grüne Sauce', the famous green sauce from Frankfurt. Its small, star-shaped blue flowers are also delicious added to salads, puddings and wild herb soups. - Meadow sage (Salvia pratensis)
Meadow sage is a lovely mild herb ideal for fish dishes and its beautiful flowers are also edible.
