The predominantly used red beetroot as we know it was once only one among many types of beet root, stemming from wild sea beet. This yellow beet has a much milder flavour. 'Golden' is an heirloom variety.

Growing instructions

These seeds benefit from pre-soaking in warm water overnight. In Europe the first outdoor sowings can be made in March. Direct sowing outdoors, 2-3 cm deep into the soil. Loves loose nutrient-rich soils. Late sowings can be made in late summer to provide fresh young roots in autumn.

Die gelbe Bete ist mein absoluter Liebling im Gemüsegarten. Unkompliziert, pflegeleicht, wunderschön und eine Delikatesse. Am liebsten esse ich diese Sorte roh und frisch geerntet aus dem Garten.
