Description

Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens) is the largest bamboo cultivar that can survive in temperate climates. It reaches a height of between 4 and 30 m. North of the Alps, these gigantic dimensions are rarely achieved, though - but Moso bamboo is
hardy in Central Europe, which is a great advantage. Moreover, Phyllostachys pubescens is an important crop. It is grown for its fleshy, savory sprouts and provides fibers, and wood for furniture.
