Description

Roselle is a mallow or sorrel variety frequently cultivated in Africa which forms the basis of many fruity infusions. Hibiscus, rosehip and other fruit teas owe their bright red color and fruity taste to its fleshy calyxes of the Rose of Jamaica.

Sowing and cultivation
Hibiscus sabdariffa is a heat-loving plant for balcony, patio or greenhouse which also grows well in the apartment. The seeds can be soaked in water for 12 hours before sowing and should be placed about 1cm deep in pots and kept warm. Coir substrate is ideal.
