A very special Common Wallflower variety as 'Ivory White' has light ivory-coloured blossoms that occasionally slightly blur into lemon yellow. All in all, this variety is at least as eager to bloom as all Common Wallflower varieties. However, it
remains slightly lower in growth and most often rather reaches a height of 40cm. The bearing is beautifully bushy and lushly.

As a historical decorative plant, the Common Wallflower simply belongs to every cottage garden as well as near-natural garden. It's an excellent food plant for useful insects like bees that like to nibble its nectar.

Perennial, however, often rather biennial shrub that blooms beautifully in spring. Preculture indoors possible from mid-March or direct sowing outdoors from mid-May to July. Only slightly cover the seeds with soil. Germination period approx. 14 days. The seedlings should only move outdoors after the last night frosts. The Common Wallflower prefers very warm, protected, and sunny locations. It doesn't bloom before the second year and isn't quite as hardy. Therefore, you should protect it with brushwood or fleece in winter.
The Common Wallflower belongs to the brassica plants and is, therefore, equally prone to the typical pests.
