Malabar spinach (also called pui or Indian spinach) is cultivated all throughout the tropics as a vegetable plant. But even in Central Europe it can be grown quite easily, for example as a potted plant. Its nutritious leaves taste good and can also
be used to thicken sauces (Simply add a leaf of malabar spinach while cooking).
