Reed canary grass (Phalaris arundinacea) is a large grass species with reed-like appearance. Because of its strong vigor, it is grown as an "energy plant" for the biogas production. Also nice as an ornamental grass.

Asimina triloba is a hardy shrub or tree. The seeds should be stratified before sowing. For this purpose mix the seed with moist sand in a plastic bag and keep at a 2-6 °C for about 7 weeks, e.g. in a refrigerator. Then sow in pots and keep warm. Loves semi shady places. Also suitable as a container plant.
