The Belladonna is a perennial shrub and hardy. Loves nutritious soils and half-shady locations. Seeds should be stratified, i.e. they need exposure to cold. Either sow in autumn or in early spring. Otherwise, artificial cold therapy. Store seeds with a little bit of slightly wetted sand (e.g. in a freezer bag) in the fridge (by no means in the freezer!) for 4-6 weeks.
