'Evesham Special' is an old British brussels sprouts variety with a fine nutty aroma. Despite the French name, it is an English cultivar which forms small to medium sprouts and can be harvested over a long period of time.

Brussels sprouts should be pre-cultivated indoors from mid-April to early May. The seedlings can then be planted out outdoors after the last freezing nights. The distance between the individual Brussels sprouts plants should be about 50 cm. Must not be fertilized too much in order to achieve a good taste. The sprouts taste best after they have been exposed to frost.
