The savoy variety 'Bloemendaalse Gele' forms loose, slightly more open heads, whose leaves are yellow on the inside. It's a tender savoy, respectively savoy cabbage from which, therefore, single leaves can be harvested. The leaves can be harvested
continuously from the outside to the inside during the harvest period. The variety is hardy in mild areas and can then be harvested on frost-free days all winter long.

The variety is already very old and has slightly faded into oblivion. Currently, however, a clear trend towards the savoy cabbage variety can be registered again.
