Indigo Rose is one of the few nearly black tomato varieties that are cultivated in the USA. It was created by the hybridization of black-fruited wild tomatoes. The stain anthocyanin develops itself especially on the sides of the fruits the sun
shines on. This stain is very healthy and provides the blue colouring, i.a. of blueberries. The round tomatoes reach a diameter of up to 5 cm. They ripen relatively late and have juicy pulp with a pleasant, mild taste.

Preculture indoors at approx. 22-28°C from March. In May, temper the plantlets and plant them out into the greenhouse, tomato house or outdoors (with rain protection). Tie up on struts or ribbons and pinch out regularly.
Loves lots of sun and - as tomatoes are hard feeders - being given nutrients regularly.
Planting distance 50-100 cm.
