The Alpine Strawberry (Fragaria Vesca Var. Semperforens) is a cultivated form of the aromatic wild strawberry with larger fruits and a longer harvest period. It forms no stolons and is, therefore, perfectly suitable for the planting of pots and
flower boxes.

The Alpine strawberry already bears fruits in the first year, from June until late September. The great flavour, unfortunately, doesn't make it very durable - but in a metaphorical sense. Most often, it goes directly into the mouth after gathering.
