Asparagus pea is an ancient and very undemanding crop. Its wrinkled pods can be prepared like peas and their taste is sweet as a regular garden pea, yet reminiscent of asparagus. It is recommended to harvest winged peas very early, as the pods will
otherwise become fibrious and hard to eat.
