The variety 'Ishikura' is very hardy and, therefore, perfectly suitable for perennial cultivation. It's suitable as a bed-framing as it grows in clusters and doesn't sprawl and can also be grown in 10 litre pots on the balcony.

Sowing & cultivation
- Sowing period: The classic sowing period for a direct harvest is from the beginning of March to mid-July. For an early spring harvest, it can, however, also be sown in autumn.
- Sowing depth: Sow flat and only cover with sifted soil slightly (approx. 0.5cm).
