The Cherry Tomato 'Zuckertraube' forms small, red shining, sugar-sweet fruits that reach the approximate size of cherries. It lives up to its name as its fruits really are sweet as honey, which is why they are also called honey tomatoes.

The variety is determined, which means that it grows infinitely, and can, thereby, reach a height of 250cm and more. 'Zuckertraube' is an early variety that already bears its first ripe fruits at the end of June. These especially invite to nibbling them directly from the shrub but can also be used well for dips and spreads.

Tomato seeds are commonly started indoor in pre-culture first and the seedlings are then be transplanted once they have gained enough strength, after the last frosts. Sowing can already be started from February if the plants are intended for cultivation in a greenhouse or otherwise from March for outdoor cultivation. It is recommended to protect tomato plants from rain or to grow them in pots. Fortunately, with cherry tomatoes, there is no need to prune the side shoots.
