Corky fruit water dropwort which is an easy to cultivate plant with starchy tubers. It forms root knots with nutty sweet taste, growing to sizes comparable to hazelnuts or, if they grow very large, radishes. Formerly these were collected and
prepared as savory vegetables. The plant is perennial and forms more root knots as it gets older.
