The Field Marigold (Calendula Arvensis) is the wild sister of the famous marigold. It is extremely rare in nature (an endangered species, must not be collected when found growing in the wild). It grows in the Mediterranean region and also in the
warmer regions of Central Europe, for example, in vineyards.
The small florets are very tender and of bright pale yellow color. Their use as a medicinal plant is similar to that of Calendula officinalis.
