It is a mid-late carrot cultivar, with bright orange, up to 15 cm long and sometimes up to 10 cm thick roots. The result is a rather broad and short, tapered root body which needs more ground space than most other types of carrots. The aroma is very outstanding with a juicy, sweet taste.
Another special thing about this carrot is its suitability for cultivation in heavier soils. You can grow the oxheart carrot both as a summer and a storage carrot and use it fresh or for juicing. It is als known as Guérande heirloom carrot.

Sowing & cultivation
To be sown outdoors from March on: The seeds should be covered with 1 cm earth. When sown in rows, the distance between the rows should be approx. 20 cm. This cultivar appreciates soft garden earth.
