  • Sowing period: Leaf Lettuce can already be sown in the unheated greenhouse or hotbed from the end of February. Direct sowing is possible as soon as the soil is free from snow, respectively mid-May.
  • Sowing depth: As salad belongs to the light germinators, only cover lightly with sifted earth or simply press the seeds onto the soil well.
  • Ideal germination temperature: +10-16°C, from +22°C, germination gets significantly worse
  • Row spacing: 30 cm

  • Soil: fresh, permeable and deep, not too nutrient-rich
