Sowing & cultivation
The seeds are scattered on moist sowing compost and pressed onto it lightly. Cover them with glass (mini-greenhouse) so that the moisture remains. The leaves can be picked as early as 4 weeks after sowing.
Loves dry, sunny places, e.g. in the stone garden. Only tolerates light frost from -5°C to -10°C. In mild locations, it can hibernate protected in the garden. Otherwise, the ice plant can also be kept as an indoor plant (care like cacti).
