The breeding stems from Great Britain, where the plant is known as morning glory and has a long horticultural tradition. The special characteristic of this climber is its blossom. The bright blossoms open at sunrise and are already withered at sunset. However, as it continuously forms new blossoms, the splendour doesn't come to an end until autumn.
Caution: The plant is poisonous in all of its parts!

Sowing & cultivation
In temperate climates, morning glory is mostly planted as an annual plant outdoors. In the tropics it is perennial, it's therefore well suited as a creeping houseplant that lignifies over the years. Press seeds into start-up soil mixture and keep them warm. The ideal germination temperature is +20°C. The young plants should be hardened after Ice Saint's and then planted outdoors.
Ideal location: Full sun and wind-protected. Morning glory needs a climbing aid.
