The endive 'Green escarole' is perfect for autumn and winter salads. It is a reliable, frost-resistant variety with good storage durability. Very suitable for autumn cultivation outdoors or later cultivation in an unheated greenhouse. 'Green
Escarole' has a pleasantly mild and slightly bitter taste. This variety has a dense yellow middle part and fleshy, full leaves.

Growing instructions

Sow from mid June to end of July directly into the vegetable patch. Cover the seeds only slightly with soil and press them gently into the ground, needs light to germinate. Later prick out and transplant, keeping a distance of 30 x 30 cm. Endive prefers good garden soil in an open, sunny location and adequate irrigation. Harvest is possible from mid-September on.
