Oregano fits Italian tomato dishes, lamb, and pizza. In Mexican cuisine, oregano is often used together with cumin, coriander, chili, and garlic. In the kitchen, the aromatic leaves, which can be harvested all year round, are used.

Oregano grows well in sunny and warm locations. Pre-culture takes place from mid-March indoors. Outdoor planting is only possible from mid-May.
