Pole Bean 'Borlotto Lingua Di Fuoco' (Phaseolus vulgaris) organic

Sow outdoors from the middle of May after the last frosts. Beans are often sown in clusters of five to six seeds together in a planting hole, keeping a distance of about 40 cm between clusters. Row spacing approx 100 cm. The beans should not be buried more than 2 cm deep. Seeds of legumes often germinate better if they are pre-soaked in water for a few hours.
Runner beans are climbing plants and need a climbing aid or trellis. Suitable rods or cords should be completed and already installed prior to sowing.
Beans are most comfortable at temperatures between 18 and 25 °C. They prefer a sunny, sheltered location and deep humus-rich soil. When the plants have grown about 20 cm high, earthing up is highly recommended.
