The pea 'Blauwschokker' is an old, very decorative variety from the Netherlands. It flourishes early and produces beautiful purple-violet blossoms. Subsequently, the dark violet, 5-6 cm long pulses with the greyish-green peas evolve out of those.
As its sight is really beautiful in all stages of life, the plant perfectly suits every cottage garden and mixed beds planted equally with herbs, vegetables and ornamental plants.
This variety is suitable for fresh consumption immediately after the harvest. The pulses themselves shouldn't be eaten. Of course, the peas can also be dried and stored.
