Rice originates from Asia, but is now cultivated all around the world in tropical and subtropical regions. European rice cultivation is concentrated mainly in Italy and France. Rice can also be grown as a pot plant. Our rice seed is of the
traditional Italian variety 'Arborio Bianco', arguably the most popular risotto rice there is.

Best germination temperature :
22 – 25 °C
Annual grass for pot culture. Likes lots of sun and moisture. Planting: pre-culture. These seeds germinate at approx. 22 °C. Rice seeds should best be sown in nutritious muddy compost. Use waterproof containers where the water may log up to 1cm above the soil and let the soil dry from time to time. The harvested seed can be sown again in the next year.
