Sowing & cultivation
- Sowing in pots indoors from mid-March or directly outdoors from mid-May. Basil is a light germinator. Therefore, only scatter the seeds onto the moist soil and press them onto it gently.
- Basil is very frost-sensitive and, therefore, only annual in our climate zone.
- This variety reaches up to 20-30cm in height.
- Violet basil prefers warm, humus-rich, loose, sandy soils and sunny locations. It doesn't like windy locations.
