White Catnip is a perennial shrub growing in clusters that, compared to lemon balm, occurs very rarely in gardens - unjustly! It's not complicated to cultivate but a wild plant native to Germany which flavour exceeds the one of other balms and keeps
its taste even when dried.

The weed of the plant is often drunk as a herbal tea infusion and it's a good spice for fresh quarks with herbs or salads. It has downy leaves, purple mottled, white blossoms, and a very specific mint flavour.

It's a close relative to catmint and also often crossbreeds with it when it grows in close proximity. Cats, however, don't seem to be deeply interested in it, which implies that it contains another composition of essential oils as its relatives.
