Superschmelz is a well established kohlrabi variety which can grow very large (up to 8 kg), but still remains tender.

Growing instructions
Preculture from March under glass / foil. From the end of April sow directly into in the garden. Sowing depth of about 1 cm. Keep evenly moist. The initial temperatures during the growth phase should not fall below + 12 °C for a longer time, the plant might form no tuber.
Pinch out the emerging plants to a distance of approximately 40cm, don't plant them deeper than before - this might cause growth inhibitions.
Likes rich soil and plenty of water.

The very persistent and hardy gentian loves sunlight. The plants need a distance of about 30cm to thrive. Indoor preculture recommended. Germinates at approx 20 °C. Cover the seeds only slightly with soil. In the first few weeks avoid waterlogging. Plant out strong plantlets.
