Magical – seeds for ethnobotanical and magical plants from all over the world

The ‘Magical’ category is so important to us that it’s part of our company’s name. In this wide-ranging sphere you’ll find seeds for ethnobotanical plants, magical plants, shamanic plants, dream herbs and incense herbs.
Humans have always sought explanations for things they don’t understand. If something remained incomprehensible it had to have a divine or even magical cause. Through the course of human history many things have become discoverable and explainable, and yet even today Magic still very much exists – fortunately, we think!

What we mean by Magic has never been precisely defined – the concept of Magic itself remains a little bit magical.

Magical plants have often been assigned to specific deities or even seen as embodying divine plant devas. Shamans use them as allies in the spiritual world - often it’s the plant’s own spirit that tells the shaman exactly how it should be used. Many plants are closely associated with religious rituals, as incense, or used in magic potions. In many cases magical plants contain psychoactive substances – consuming them can alter consciousness and perceptions, as in hallucinations or states of intoxication. This can also be an explanation for Magic. Tobacco, hops and coffee are well-known and widely used magical plants within our cultural sphere.
