Devil's Trumpet (Datura metel)

Datura Metel grows as a wild plant in nearly all tropical regions of the world but also belongs to the most important cultivars of the thorn apples as it's fast-growing and robust. It belongs to the fundamental remedies of traditional Chinese medicine but its usage is reserved for very experienced healers as the toxic effect is strong. In South America, it's used for the deterrence of insects as an edge planting in gardens.

The plant is very poisonous and should not be planted into gardens where toddlers play!
