Description

This selection contains of the seeds of 10 historical heirloom tomato varieties

Typically, old heirloom tomato varieties often stand out for their diversity, in particular in regards to flavour and optical appearance.
Some taste sweet and fruity; others are more aromatic and tangy. In terms of their colour, historical varieties range from green to yellow, orange to reddish purple and sometimes even to dark brown.
And it is also worth paying attention to which variety to choose when preparing a particular dish, as some varieties taste wonderful and fresh in salads, while other tomato varieties may only develop their unique aroma during the cooking process.
In addition to this, a lot of the traditional varieties are also known to be very robust.

We handpicked a small selection of various historical tomatoes for you.

Each seed kit contains a minimum of 10 tomato seeds per variety

The following tomato seed varieties are included:
  • 'Marmande', an old French beefsteak tomato variety
  • 'Beauté Blanche', a historical white variety from France
  • 'Black Russian', one of the many dark tomato varieties originating from Russia.
  • 'Peach', an old peach tomato variety with a lovely, velvety skin texture.
  • 'Rose de Berne', a traditional Swiss variety with outstanding aroma.
  • 'Golden Queen', a mild yellow tomato variety.
  • 'Green Zebra', a fruity green tomato variety commonly grown in the past.
  • 'Pineapple', an old beefsteak tomato variety with large sized tomatoes.
  • 'Oxheart', old Italian beefsteak tomato ideal for cooking.
  • 'Carbon', a purple tomato variety with a wonderfully diverse range of aromas.
