Description

The 'Grazer Krauthäuptel' is an old Austrian lettuce cultivar which is considered particularly palatable. It is a green, head forming Batavia salad with red leaf margins for year-round cultivation. Visually an ornament for your vegetable patch, and
certainly a delight for every salad fan.

Package with approx. 250 lettuce seeds

Growing instructions

Sow from February to April into the cold frame and from May on directly outdoors. The seeds should be only slightly covered with soil and pressed because lettuce needs light to germinate. Prick out individual plants to spaces of 25 x 30 cm. Lettuce prefers good garden soil in an open, sunny location and adequate irrigation.
Harvesting is possible from May to October. Stick to four years of cultivation break at the same location with other cruciferous vegetables.
