Description

The lettuce variety 'May King' belongs to the very early, traditional outdoor varieties. In fact it can be directly sown in the field starting in January, as soon as the soil has thawed - and consequently promises a very early harvest as well.

'Maikönig' forms medium sized heads with yellowish-green, tender leaves. The leaf edges are often of a reddish colour. May King belongs to the butterhead lettuce varieties.

Package with approx. 100 lettuce seeds

Growing instructions

Sow from January to April directly into the vegetable patch. Cover the seeds only slightly with soil, they need light to germinate. Later spread out the individual plants with a distance of 25 x 30 cm. Lettuce prefers good garden soil in an open and sunny location and adequate irrigation. Harvest is possible from May to October.
