Description

Both tubers and leaves of this plant are edible. Once commonly cultivated in central Europe, pignut seems to have been almost forgotten today. Earth chestnut tubers are normally small (about 2 cm) and tasty. In good garden soil, the tubers can
become significantly larger than those of the wild plants
