Description

The tuberous earthnut pea is an ancient vegetable. The pink-flowered perennial has branched stolons on which root knots form. These "tuberous peas" can be boiled or roasted and taste fantastic - this is certainly one of the best root vegetables,
with its fine, nutty aroma. It also has very sweet-scented flowers.

Growing instructions

Perennial plant which spreading through stolons. Direct sowing possible from March, preculture is recommended. Soak seeds in water for several hours before sowing. Loves sunny places and can be provided with climbing aid (like peas). In autumn the small tubers can be harvested.

2016 Vorkultur im Haus. Von 14 sind 10 gekeimt. Ich hab sie dann leider vernachlässigt und irgendwann mal rausgepflanzt, es sind sehr dünne zarte Pflanzen. Mal sehen ob sie den Winter überlebt haben
