Growing instructions
Sow the seeds directly in situ or in a cold frame from April to September, but it can also be sown in a cold greenhouse autumn to spring to provide leaves overwinter. The plant is intolerant of drought, it needs to be grown in a moist fertile soil for the best quality leaves. Fairly hardy and tolerating summer heat and tough frosts, Mizuna doesn't like very cold and wet weather together. A fast growing plant, it can be harvested already some weeks after sowing and you can continue cropping for 10 months before it will start to bolt.
