Description
The flattened round fruits with deeply incised ribs mature to a warm bronze tone and can then reach a diameter of 30-40 cm and a weight of 5-18 kg. Their flesh is firm, orange-red and bears a hint of chestnut. To obtain such a splendid specimen requies some effort though - the winter squash requires a lot of heat, plenty of nutrients, plenty of space and four months time to grow and mature.
Package with approx. 5 pumpkin seeds
Growing instructions
Preculture in April. Plant in pots and transplant outdoors after a hardening phase after the blackthorn winter in May. When planting, be very careful not to damage the sensitive root ball. In late May, the pumpkins can also be sown directly outdoors. Place the plants about 100 cm apart from each other.
Loves a permeable, nutrient-rich soil, warmth and plenty of water.
