Description

This red scallion has red-tinted shafts with a white tip. Spring onions are often cultivated in tropical countries because they are better adapted to warm climates than the regular onion (Allium cepa). They probably came to Europe in the 18th
century, when they were cultivated mainly in England, as they are also very suitable for the colder climate. They are hardy perennials.

Package with 200 red scallion onion seeds

Growing instructions
Sowing is possible in the open field from March onwards: Cover seeds with a layer of 1 cm of soil. When sowing in rows: keep a distance of approx. 20 cm. Loves loose garden soil.
To harvest beautiful, thick stems, the plants need to be earthed up, much like leeks.
