Description

Albina vereduna is a white beet variety of mild, fine and rather sweet taste. There are many more types of beetroot than the standard red variety, and this is one of the historically most important ones.

It forms round tubers and fits excellent with fish and poultry dishes. A huge advantage over the red beet: When processing it, it will not colour your hands red.
In addition to the tubers, also the leaves may be used as a vegetable. Cooked, they are similar to spinach and also very healthy because they contain lots of vitamins.

Growing instructions
These seeds benefit from pre-soaking in warm water overnight. In Europe the first outdoor sowings can be made in March. Late sowings can be made in late summer to provide fresh young roots in the autumn.
