This traditional, Italian Broccoli variety forms large heads from August that are accompanied by numerous side sprouts that can be harvested until late autumn. Once harvested, simply leave the plants in the bed as, with this variety, florets are formed out of the side sprouts. The Broccoli 'Calabrese' is tender and has a delicate flavour. It's proven that already the Romans cultivated broccoli and cauliflower back in the days. Also, microgreens can be cultivated from its seeds.
