The honeydew melon 'Blenheim Orange' is perfectly suitable for cultivation in Central Europe. Also in not all too sunny years, the variety forms strongly scenting fruits. They have the characteristic mesh pattern of many sugar melons, are slightly oval, and reach over 1kg in weight. The orange pulp is very sweet. Blenheim Orange is best known as an apple variety from the British Oxfordshire but this juicy melon shares its name with the delicious apples. What the two old varieties have in common is that they are grown in traditional, Victorian kitchen gardens.
