Description
The Round Leaved Mint owes its German byname "Apfelminze" (German "Apfel" = English "apple") to the intense apple scent it exudes in the summer months. Like every other mint variety, it can be used well as a cocktail herb, spice, and addition to a salad. Its taste is comparably mild and well suitable for tea mixtures that shouldn't receive the characteristic menthol flavour of other varieties.
The plant prefers moist locations and forms many offshoots - once it has settled in the garden, it can be barely gotten down.

sehr gute Keimfähigkeit
Ich habe die Minze unter LED-Leuchten angezüchtet. Die Samen sind ganz gut gekeimt. 14 Tage bis zur ersten Keimung, 38 bis zum Pikieren. Bald werden sie ausgepflanzt in der Hoffnung, dass sie sich gut im Garten etablieren.
